I struggled as a teen with my weight. In trying to get control of my weight I learned a lot about the different types of dieting. I also learned that it was truly a lifestyle change, one that I would pursue the rest of my life.
As a lifelong learning process, what I’ve found is that there is a lot of misinformation out there. Unfortunately some diets good effects are short lived or it ends up causing high cholesterol and others effects can actually cause harm.
I practice the Naturopathy (a holistic approach), so I follow a “horto/frugivore” (garden and fruit) diet, a vegetable, fruits and some cereals and seeds. So when I came upon this article on the Huffington Post, I wanted to share.
Here is an excerpt from this great article on dieting trends, “While some of the diets the Googling public researched in 2013 weren’t what we’d call ideal, they were far more likely to stress whole, natural foods and nutrient variety.”
